Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil is native to Asia and the Middle East, and is now cultivated all over the world. It had been used in Ancient Chinese, Ayurvedic and Greco-Persian schools of Medicine to treat conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.

Almond oil has been used for centuries in cosmetics and for medicinal uses to treat various skin conditions and more recently found in therapy rooms for use as a massage oil. Sweet almond oil has great moisturising properties and is a very fast absorbing oil. It is a great source of vitamin E, which is great for skin care and hair care.

It is a very versatile oil and is used in skin care products like creams, body lotions, lip balms and moisturiser.

Sweet almond oil has a comedogenic rating of 2, meaning there is a low chance of clogged pores. Due to its hydrating properties, sweet almond oil is suitable for most skin types including dry skin, oily skin and sensitive skin.
